Welcome to Secrets of SurvivalAbout the SiteHave you ever heard of the Doomsday Clock? It uses the analogy of the human race being at a time that is "minutes to midnight" where midnight represents destruction by nuclear war.Hey but that's the least of our concerns, right? With the growing rate and size of tsunamis, earthquakes, hurricanes, and floods, we already have enough to worry about. Even without the Doomsday Clock, we have plenty of other threats to our survival. You've come to the right place. History is littered with the remains of fallen empires. Which one will fall next? How will it fall? Earthquakes. Volcanoes. Hurricanes. War. Famine. Disease. Nuclear terrorism. Nuclear war. Meteor destruction... Not if but when. The US Government is now planning a space venture to deflect an asteroid that has a slim possibility of impacting Earth in the near future. The US Government is worried about Meteor Destruction -- Shouldn't you be? If that doesn't worry you, this will: The Wrath of God... Sin is rampant on the Earth. Millions have turned from God. The United States, once protected by God, is now on it's own, as much of our country now believes in being politically correct, and so denies God. Sometimes being politically correct is not a smart thing. The God of our fathers is still the same God. Nothing's changed. So, is the Day of Judgment coming? How will you survive? In the Book of Revelation in the Bible, a 'fiery mountain' is tossed down to Earth. This sounds a lot like an asteroid collision, and 2000 years ago when the last chapter of the Bible was written, did anyone actually know what an asteroid was or that it could kill a third of all life on the planet? God has passed judgement on the Earth once before, and that was when sin was rampant and many had turned from him... much like today. The last time humans turned their back on God we were all but wiped out by a great flood. The next time it's supposed to be worse... How will you survive? The first time Jesus appeared, he was humiliated, beaten, and crucified. His Second Coming, predicted throughout the Bible, will be in a Blaze of Glory, and with it the Wrath of God. Are you on his good side? If you're not, that's up to you. But as things continue to shake up in the news, and there are signs in the Heavens, and signs on the Earth, remember what you have to do to be saved from the coming wrath... Don't forget the things you learned when you were a kid in Sunday School. The Second Coming is real. And it's sooner than you think. Revelation 3:10 - "Because you have kept my command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world to test those who dwell on the earth." * * *
What We BelieveSurvival Tips for the "End Times"You've arrived at a Christian website -- So why is it called "Secrets of Survival"?
Expect More Natural DisastersAny Christian who believes in the Bible is aware of the teachings about the end times, as have been all previous generations of Christians. We believe the world is in the end times, and we believe it's important to teach people about survival -- what it takes to survive the end times of man, if it's possible.
Is it Possible to Survive the End Times? The question has always been, when though? When will these things happen?
Watch Out for False ProphetsJesus warned to watch out for false prophets, who would give false dates that would come and pass. He did say though to be awake, and alert, and recognize the times we are living in, because Christ would come back like a thief in the night, and the only warning we would have would be signs in the heavens and signs in the earth, and nations in turmoil, and governments arming for war. And that's when things would really be shaken in the world. We see that today. And sure we saw that leading up to World War II. The only difference between now and the days leading up to World War II is the nation of Israel. It didn't exist. The Jews had been scattered to the nations almost 2,000 years before (fulfilling a Bible prophecy given in Isaiah 66:7-8), after Christ had been crucified and a few decades later Jerusalem was ransacked by it's enemies. Israel ceased to be a nation. It's people fled across the land and over the centuries across the globe.
The Nation of Israel ... BackBut today Israel exists, defying the odds. How have these people survived? No, they don't carry a book of survival secrets. This is all part of God's plan, and the odds of this happening testify to his power over the ways of the world and that he is in control. How could a people once scattered across the world suddenly be gathered from the nations and given it's own country? Yet it happened, and it happened in one day (fulfilling Isaiah 66:7-8), on May 14, 1948 after World War II when the nations gave the Jews their own country (where Israel exists today) after the severe terror and death many received at the hands of Hitler and the Nazis.
Is Survival Possible? If God Has Ordained Nuclear War, Can We Survive? Now, look at the prophecy that Jesus made in Luke 21, when he described events that would signify the end times. Jesus said something specific and startling: "When you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies know that it's desolation is near". The "abomination of desolation" is a prophecy given in the Book of Daniel, and is an event that takes place toward the end of the Tribulation time period. Today, for the first time in recent history, we have armed nations that would like to destroy Israel... namely the nation of Iran, but in addition many forces representing Radical Islam - the same forces that are sworn to the destruction of the West (think America), and the same forces that flew 2 hijacked planes into the Twin Towers.
Jerusalem Surrounded by ArmiesSo, if Jerusalem is currently "surrounded by armies", the Tribulation could be just around the corner. A study of the Book of Revelation reveals that we're likely to see nuclear war, as well as deadly diseases, famines, natural disasters and even widespread death by "wild beasts".
Threats from IranConsidering Iran's present "saber-rattling", it's fearless and bold threats to the West and it's promises to "wipe Israel off the map", as well as it's sponsorhip of terrorists, and it's pursuit of nuclear weapons (come on, we can see through the lies that Iran tells on TV when they say they're only pursuing nuclear energy), it becomes obvious that we may be in the early days of Matthew 24. If so, that means a time of great distress, and ultimately the wrath of God, and events from the Book of Revelation will be coming in the days ahead.
If You Want to Survive These Deadly Events -- Even "Escape" -- Look to Jesus Now"Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap. For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole earth. Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man." Just who is Jesus, really?Throughout the centuries following the life and death of Jesus (whether you believe that he was the Son of God or not), most agree that Jesus did in fact live and walk the earth. Some say he was just a wise man. Some say he was a wise man, but also crazy. Jesus is considered wise because his teachings about love, charity, humility and faith have encouraged millions of people to live better lives down through the centuries, and have transformed the lives of those who didn't just follow his teachings, but actually received God's Spirit by a life of faith. Then there are other people. Those who corrupted the teachings of Jesus with greed, envy, anger, hate, the typical things that lead to a corrupt church, which we know is a phenomenon in the world.
Rejected by Religious LeadersJesus though is considered crazy (even if people don't use that word often) by many others, including the people who crucified him -- the Jewish leaders, who Jesus rebuked many times for corrupting the things of God. They hated him because he called them out on their behavior, and they believed him to be out of his mind because he claimed to come down from God, and if you were listening carefully at the time, that he in fact was God in the flesh -- fulfilling prophecies from the prophet Isaiah given centuries earlier. Then of course are the miracles. He cast out demons. He healed the sick. He raised the dead. He walked on water. Many people willingly gave up all they had to follow him. They witnessed these things in person. He truly was the messiah, many proclaimed. After the crucifixion and death, and then rising from the grave, he returned to earth to visit the disciples a number of times, appearing and disappearing at will, maybe something akin to what we have seen Jim Kirk do on Star Trek. Jesus also taught about Hell, and that all who sinned would die. But through his death on the cross and resurrection from the dead (to fulfill Bible prophecy) something incredible occurred, that was meant to demonstrate God's love.
The Cross - An Incredible Act of LoveBy dying on the cross Jesus took the full punishment for our sin, the punishment from God that we deserved for everything wrong we ever did (to others, to God, even to ourselves). Jesus death and shed blood meant that all who would believe in Him -- that he is the messiah, and the savior of mankind -- would receive eternal life simply through the free gift of faith. With repentance from sin and the sealing of the Holy Spirit, a sinner is now a child of God, and now clothed with the righteousness of Christ -- as long as he or she continues in this faith (Hebrews 10:26-31 does say that a person can forsake this, to their willful destruction).
What We Believe About Salvation and How to Survive the Last DaysWe believe... That the Bible is the Word of God, and that God preserved his Word as he promised, and that men who wrote it were under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, so in fact it was God who wrote it. We can trust the Bible. It is God's Word. That many deceivers have come into the faith, and the Apostle Paul warned about this many, many times, in addition to the warnings that we received from Jesus. There would be so much deception in the last days that even God's own people would be deceived, if God did not intervene. That is why so much of Christianity is corrupt. To fulfill God's plans for mankind he has let Satan fulfill his role as a liar and a destroyer. God has his reasons, and the Bible says that "his ways are above our ways and his thoughts are above our thoughts".
Transformation of the Holy SpiritThat though we are saved the moment we call on the Lord with a sincere heart, that from there God's goal is to transform each one of us, giving us the "fruit of the Spirit" and enabling us to follow Him on a path that leads us to holiness, a quality he has called all his children to. That Jesus Christ will come for his holy bride, at some point in the end times, commonly called the rapture of the church, and that many believers will be left behind; left behind because they did not read the Word of God, and live a life of faith as it's taught. Instead, though they considered themselves Christians, their faith was only on the surface, and wasn't really in their hearts, and it did not show itself in the life of a born-again Christian, who had truly been or was being transformed by the Holy Spirit.
The Time of WrathFinally, we believe that the "Time of Wrath" (as prophesied in the Book of Daniel) is coming soon, and will occur about the time of the rapture. Please refer to our Revelation / Armageddon Survival page for in depth discussions on the rapture, as well as Bible scripture we believe reveals a "pre-tribulation" or "early-tribulation" rapture of Christians sincere in the faith, and approved as first fruits. During the Time of Wrath (called the Tribulation) by many Christians today, there will be much death and destruction and evil on the earth. People who become Christians during that time will face many horrors, and hardship. Many will lose their lives to the "Anti-Christ" and his Beast kingdom (read Revelation) - but they will be saved if they do not renounce their faith. Others who survive the Tribulation will be taken in what appears to be one final rapture, when God sends his angels (Matthew 24) to the ends of the earth to collect the survivors.
Christian Survival Tips: Which Group Will You Be In?Earth is going to fulfill it's destiny. It is a promise from God. Christ will destroy the nations at the end of the Tribulation, and set up a thousand year kingdom, after which the present earth will be destroyed and a new earth will take it's place. A rapture of the church is going to take place. Exactly when, no one can be sure. But Jesus says in Matthew 24:36-42 that he will come "as a thief in the night" ... "as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the son of man". The same passage says people will be marrying and being given in marriage, people will be buying and selling.
"As it was in the days of Noah..."Doesn't that sound like a day like your average day in the world right now? It doesn't sound at all like the Tribulation, and the wars, and horror and death and disasters that will be taking place as described in Revelation. That's why we lean toward a "pre-tribulation" or "early-tribulation" rapture of the church. Christ is coming for his first fruits, a term used by the Apostle Paul. Do you want to be one of the first fruits of Christ -- the first people taken from earth, and spared the wrath of God that will take place in the Tribulation? Then be real about your faith! Live by the Word of God, and trust God, and of course absolutely love God. Become a "new creation" as you let the Holy Spirit become a part of you, and transform you. Our prayers go out to you, and the many lives you will touch as a modern day disciple of Jesus Christ, because that is what each of us is expected to become.
